The bugs must be burned to earn bonus points and to make possible the burning of various kinds of rope. Along the way, one encounters bonus bugs with various properties. Basically the player begins by touching a section of rope and then rotating his/her device to keep the upward burning flame ignited. This is a fun and unique game with plenty of challenging levels.

I definitely recommend this game as the free app of the day, and while I know $2.99 is expensive, this is a game I'd probably pay it for (after already playing it, no way I would have before I got a chance to play it). This isn't one of those interesting games that is only interesting for an hour. There is a ton of replay value here, with the user submitted levels and the number of levels initially. The game looks good, sounds good, plays great, and is fun. It has good instructions on what to include and seems nice.

You can go on their website and submit an image file (drawing or paint) and it can be chosen to be included in the game.

There are new user submitted puzzles everyday too.

Also, there are mini games, like see how many ants/bugs you can burn in a certain amount of time. There's something here for any challenge level. They do start out easy and progressively get more difficult, just as it should be. Different designs that you are burning include a star, envelope, axe and wood, a bat, flames, planets, apples, kites, ice cream cone, rock and roll set (drums and guitars!) and many more. Often times your fire will go in two or three different directions, and you have to think "How can I tilt this so that all 3 flames are going upwards?". There are over 150 different (and varied) designs to keep it from getting boring. If you allow the fire to go laterally, or down, for a few seconds, the fire will go out and you lose. In this, you pick a spot in the rope to start a fire, and then you tilt your device to make sure the fire continues to go in the north/up direction. In cut the rope you cut a spot in the rope, causing the rope to break and an object to fall off the rope. My initial thoughts were that I like cut the rope, and this must be extremely similar to cut the rope. The game is about 4.5 stars, but seeing the quality, the time, and a lack of serious permissions and NO IAP, I'm willing to give them the extra half star on principle. Is it worth $2.99? After playing and staying up WAY too late, I'd have to say yes. At least in this case having free daily levels from the dev is a good reason for that permission. The downsides are that it is made for phones rather than tablets (which, if you have a phone you'd find this an upside) and it has network permissions. I'd also consider creating and uploading a level myself. Personally, I'll look forward to a level each day (until I've had my rope burning fill, that is). These are levels that were submitted to the developer by users, and I found them quite enjoyable. I did find, though, a really cool feature: the level of the day. I never once felt pressured to rate, buy, or share anything. Since colored rope must be burned using the same color fire, and the fire burns upwards, this can create rather challenging levels. When the bugs burn, the fire changes color to match the color of the bugs. The point of the game is to burn all of the rope in each level, and to burn the moving bugs on the rope, too, by rotating your device while holding it up so the screen is facing you (not flat). However, the graphics really are good enough for a large tablet. As it turns out (pun not intended) the game is first designed for a phone rather than a large tablet. When the comical intro led directly to a very detailed set of instructions and a tutorial level, the app impressed me with the high quality of the graphics, the sound and music, and the considerable thought put into this game. Starting the game, my 10" tablet's screen rotated to portrait, and the graphic was pixelated. My first impression of the game wasn't a very good one, but playing changed my mind.
